Septagon Studios Creator Hub
Welcome to the Septagon Studios Creator Hub.
Do you have a comic-related website?
Are you an indie creator?
Are you and indie publisher?
Are you a webcomics creator?
Are you a comic book writer or artist?
Are you looking for ways to bring traffic to your website and really get your work out there?
Well, maybe we can help. In this new section we will be providing essential tools, resources, traffic building advice, columns, reviews, interviews and tips to help advance your websites exposure. Many of the resources in this section we have already used ourselves and have found them to be very helpful and valuable.
The goal of the Creator Hub is to help independent comic publishers, self-publishers, and creators find ways to effectively market themselves and their projects to fans, retailers, bloggers, and comic news writers. We want to build a community atmosphere where we can share tips and advice that actually works.
Check back with us here regularly as we will be updating this section with some really cool and useful stuff.

Hey Guys,
You’re touching on an area that is sorely lacking in this industry. Creating a comic is one thing. Putting it into retail shops and the ever eager hands of comic fandom is quite another.
Looking forward to what you have in store. Keep up the good work.

I am also looking forward to this. I am sitting on thousands of the first three issues of my self-published comic book series, Elemental Fources, and I could really use some help getting them in front of an audience.

Every little bit helps in my opinion

I’ve been publishing on and off since 1984….I’d love to get more insight into selling my comics. I’ll read whatever you post!
Comment by Steve Tanner on 7 November 2008:
Since forming Time Bomb Comics last year by far the most challenging aspect has getting the product to the consumer. Tables at the larger UK conventions has been the most successful means for us so far, but I’m hoping Diamond will pick us up soon though! However if there’s any other way to get any kind of US/Canada distribution please let me know!

Sounds like a great idea. I look forward to szpeaking with other creators.

Great idea to build this space Nick, thanks…(not to mention the one that brings all of us to the Septagon page to talk about things, clever) I’m currently working with Bluewater on INSANE JANE: THE AVENGING STAR and my own company Alchemical Press is bringing at least three projects into the comic shops in 2009 as well as a few co-productions with Absurd Machine Studios….I tend to post a lot of updates and info at my weblog at http://www.alchemicalpress.com and would be happy to answers any questions you might have…as has already been stated, making the book is not enough you also need to get it into people hands.
As a side note: I also sent Septagon a pitch not too long ago, and though they did not think it was for them, they did have some very constructive advice….and I think they will be a company to keep an eye on…
The bottom line here is that the more of us that work together to bring good work into the comic market, the better it is for all of us….

This sounds great! I’m still finishing my scripts, but it’s reassuring to know there are networks like this out there!

I look forward to hearing how other folks do things. I’ve got my comic on the web and self-published into print. Every bit of knowledge helps. Happy to share mine too.

A great idea, the one thing that i myself find the hardest is getting people to know your out in the great wide cyber world, my own website http://www.homemadeheroes.co.uk has just been running a year now and even with all the blogging and networking through verious sites such as Comicsinternational, Panini Comics, comicspace, the Marvel and DC Sites, plus the old fashioned paper method of advertising, i still feel that i’m not reaching enough people so this sort of idea can only help raise the profile of small writers such as myself.
Will be keeping an eye on developments with great interest.
